Here is an overview of German songs that are intabulated for the Renaissance lute. Various well-known dances, including the Studenten Dantz, the Magister Dantz, the Calvinisten Dantz and the Almeyer Dantz are also featured. Psalms were not taken into account, although many spiritual songs have been included. For some of these songs, the concordances for other instruments such as the baroque lute, cittern or keyboard were also given. For each song, the first printed vocal source is credited whenever possible. This does not necessarily mean that this source has actually been used for the current intabulation. Sometimes it is not clear or even impossible to determine whether the song is originally German or Dutch. Examples of this are Een vrolic wesen or Ey du feiner Reyter.
