These International Lute Days around the Style galante focus mainly on an aspect of the lute that has received little attention until now: the role of the lute in chamber music as it developed in the course of the eighteenth century.

The Dutch Lute Foundation had the film made to reach more people than just with the festival itself and are happy with the result. The film was made by Daniël Brüggen, recorder player and teacher at, among others, the Royal Conservatoire and also a filmmaker. He has several music videos and music documentaries to his credit.
